The SA Hope Center welcomed Michelle, who grew up in San Antonio and faced significant challenges. Raised in a broken home, she struggled in school, was placed in special education, and was frequently expelled. At one of her lowest points, Michelle and her husband were struggling to afford even basic necessities like food. While searching for help, she came across the SA Hope Center and decided to give them a chance. What began as a need for resources became a life-changing experience.
At the Center, she met Ruby, a social worker who saw potential in her and challenged her to pursue an education. With encouragement and support, Michelle began to believe in herself. Through the support of the SA Hope Center, Michelle earned her high school diploma and went on to achieve far more than she ever imagined: an associate’s degree in psychology, a bachelor’s degree in human sciences, a master’s degree in nonprofit management, and ultimately a doctorate in ministry. The SA Hope Center didn’t just meet an immediate need—it helped restore her confidence, ignite her purpose, and set her on a path of lifelong success.
