The vision of the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio is for all youth to graduate high school on time with the skills they need for a successful future. Their mission is to empower youth today to build a better tomorrow. At the heart of this is a simple but powerful belief: Empowering youth today to build a better tomorrow. 9-year-old Club Kid Jaxson is an example of their mission realized.
As a proud 4th grader at Rayburn Club, Jaxson is the future they’re working to build with a shining example of growth, confidence, and leadership. Since joining Rayburn Club in the 2nd grade, Jaxson has grown not just in age, but in character, confidence, and determination. Through the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio, Jaxson has gotten opportunities to participate in the Rayburn Ravens athletics and taking the stage as King Julien in their Madagascar Musical.
Jaxson’s curiosity and willingness have also played an active role in his participation as emcee for the Two Steppin’ for Club Kids fundraising event. As Jaxson also plays an active leader in their National Bullying Prevention- Be Kind initiative, he consistently reminds peers of the positive impact they can have, modeling exactly the kind of leadership they strive to develop.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio help inspire and support the youth, with Jaxson’s journey as a testament to what’s possible when people invest in their organization.
