Spay Neuter Network’s mission is to eliminate pet overpopulation by providing spay/neuter surgeries, while empowering communities to care responsibly for dogs and cats. Their vision is to create compassionate communities free of homeless pets.

George, an older gentleman living in San Antonio, has loved and cared for his dog, Goldilocks, since she was born. At just one year old, Goldilocks is a sweet companion who means the world to him. Living on a fixed income and without reliable transportation, George often worried about how to provide the care his beloved pet needs. When it came time for Goldilocks to be spayed and vaccinated, George turned to the Spay Neuter Network’s San Antonio clinic for help. Thanks to grant funding, they were able to cover the costs of her surgery and vaccines, lifting a huge financial burden off George’s shoulders.

Their transportation services ensured George didn’t have to struggle with walking his pet home after surgery, giving him peace of mind during a stressful time. While George couldn’t afford additional treatments, another kind client stepped in to cover Goldilocks’ heartworm test and flea/tick prevention, showing just how strong our community of care can be.

George was deeply grateful, not only for the services provided but also for the compassion and dignity he experienced at their clinic. Spaying and neutering directly combat pet overpopulation, a major issue in San Antonio, which is a root cause of stray animals and overcrowded shelters. Supporting clients like George and pets like Goldilocks is exactly why this work matters.
